If you are interested in using data that is relevant to SOLAS, this project has facilitated the setup of a metadata portal, which will help you identify what data exists, the data originator and where it is currently stored. The portal is hosted by NASA and the metadata files are stored on the international standard Global Change Master Directory (GCMD).
